Craft Designs, Inc (CDI), provider of software solutions and services, is pleased to announce that it has been successfully appraised at Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Maturity Level (ML) 3 from the Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute (SEI) for a second time. The Standard CMMI Appraisal for Process Improvement SCAMPI-A was conducted across the entire organization by Jeffrey Dutton, SEI Certified Lead Appraiser with Breakpoint Consulting Group.
This is a glowing endorsement of CDIs continuous process improvement efforts which have enabled CDIs corporate processes to remain standardized across the organization. It also underscores CDIs processes are repeatable, predictable, and consistent amongst development groups, teams, and projects. CDI’s organizational and development processes have been maintained by their team and are the backbone to their on-time/on-budget completion of projects. This achievement reiterates CDIs corporate commitment to providing robust solutions for defense, aerospace, and industrial automation applications.
CDI focuses on process driven software development and independent verification and validation of flight safety critical and airworthy software applications. CDI has many years of experience in developing Flight Performance Models and other applications that interface with multi-platform mission planning applications. Additionally, CDI develops numerically optimized embedded performance models that are integrated into the Chinook, Blackhawk, and Kiowa aircraft cockpits and trainers.
With this recent endeavor, CDI continues to be amongst an elite group of small businesses to be independently appraised at CMMI-DEV ML3.
