Craft Designs, Inc (CDI) has completed its first re-certification audit thereby continuing to demonstrate its commitment to the development and delivery of government and commercial software solutions and services. This re-certification audit builds on the previous 2016 audit and annual surveillance audits.
As an ISO 9001:2015/AS9100D:2016 registered company in accordance with the standards set in place by the International Standards Organization (ISO), CDI is pleased to continue its partnership with Perry Johnson Registrars which serve as the external schedulers and auditors of CDI processes and artifacts.
The ISO9001:2015 standard outlines the criteria for quality management systems which include a strong customer focus, motivation and implication of top management, and an ongoing refinement to process improvement. These principles directly align with the processes and policies implemented across the entire CDI organization. Positive customer feedback and the high-quality products being developed and delivered are a testament to the successful integration of the ISO9001:2015 standard.
The AS9100D:2016 standard is specifically designed to provide standards to companies that work directly in the aviation, space, and defense industries. AS9100D:2016 follows the structure of ISO9001:2015 and emphasizes risk-based thinking, planning, support, and leadership. CDI’s commitment to following these standards ensure that processes are predictable, consistent, and repeatable among the company’s development groups, teams, and projects.
CDI focuses on process driven software development and independent verification and validation of flight safety critical and airworthy software applications. CDI has many years of experience in developing Flight Performance Models and other applications that interface with multi-platform mission planning systems. CDI is excited to continue applying the standards of ISO9001:2015/AS9100D:2016 in conjunction with its CMMI-DEV V1.3 Maturity Level 3 certification providing high quality products to its customers.
